Team Member: Micaela Gleason

Micaela Gleason discovered her love for missions on a trip with Missouri Youth on Missions to Honduras in 2013 while in high school. Since then, partnering with missions in various avenues has been a passion of hers. Micaela graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Missouri in 2018. After graduation, she was a substitute teacher with an emphasis in working with students from other cultures. She taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Grandview, MO for two years and through that developed a zeal for educating and leading. Simultaneously, Micaela has served her local church, The Life Church of Kansas City, in leading the junior high students in Christian Education. At her core, is the desire to make disciples through teaching opportunities inside and outside the church. Aside from this, Micaela enjoys painting, exploring, and obtaining knowledge from books and new places. Micaela is overjoyed to have the opportunity to serve and partner with the UPCI Youth Ministries as the Apostolic Youth Corps Director.
